Sam: hand in

Sam: hand in

Latest version of my Sam book project.  Probably still needs some changes to certain areas, it is still looking a little dark.  I do think that the vortex texture on the second page is helping to bring them both together o become part of a set.  As usual, any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated :)
Have a nice day! Now to move on to the negotiated project...

Sam: Work in Progress

As stated: work in progress. The girls face appears to have gone weird, so I need to amend that in Photoshop.  Maybe should work on some of the contrast too, but ah well, here it is in its bare bones for now!! Hopefully its ok, but still have a fair amount to go on this one.  (only just noticed as I was putting it up.... bugger.) Comments and feedback welcome!

SPAM!: Final Piece

SPAM! Final Piece... Possibly
There have only been a few minor changes to this one, reducing the yellow highlights on face, cleaning up the text and making the Spam tin bigger.  You wouldn't believe the stress it caused x.x With 3 computer crashes, 2 tantrums and one very big mug of hot chocolate, it is finally here for viewing.  This experience has taught me many lessons.  Mainly: Get a new laptop. Now!
Any comments/ improvements/ general gossip or natter, feel free to post below as usual :) Thanks for viewing!

SPAM!: Work in Progress

SPAM: Acrylic and Photoshop

This is my work in progress for my final piece.  There are a few changes that need to be made, but I would like some other opinions on what needs adapting :) Comments would be great!

Why Small Victories Matter: Version 2

Why Small Victories Matter: Version 2

I have adapted some of the content from my original idea, using another recycling symbol and an easier to read pound sign.  I have also made all of the icons the same height to make the piece look more unified.

Why Small Victories Matter: An Advertising Brief

Why Small Victories Matter
Brush Pens and Fine liners
This is a rough for an advertising brief.  The article it relates to is about how small victories help keep employees happy within a company, when compared to one large goal.  Breaking obstacles down into smaller and more manageable parts help to keep workers enthusiastic.  The article continues to explain how these techniques can be used in day to day life.
I have tried to capture the spirit of the article (Hope I have managed to do so) with looking at important aspects of modern business life, such as profits, recycling and the carbon footprint, as many companies are trying to become more environmentally friendly. Hope you like!

SPAM:work in progress

This is my painting in progress. It will eventually photoshopped and text and border added. Please let me know your thought

SPAM!: New developments

This is my new composition and alien design, as suggested by the tutors.  I think that it has helped the piece to look much more fun and entertaining (especially the hungry spam alien!) But please let me know your thoughts :) (I have included early development sketches of the new alien for your enjoyment)

SPAM!: Initial Ideas

We have been given a new brief to promote 'Spam' to a fresh and young audience.  The piece needs to include a space man or woman, an alien and a robot, surrounding a tin of spam.  This is one of my designs for the piece, waiting to be approved and checked for mistakes or improvements.  Feel free to lend a hand and tell me your thoughts :)

Cocktail Party: Final Piece

Cocktail Party: Final Piece

A few adjustment have been made from the previous piece to add a bit more depth and atmosphere.  I have added a dark brown floor section, and some objects in the background such as chandeliers, bottles, glasses and ribbons.  I have also worked on the background to the ballerina to make it easier to view.

Cocktail Party with text

The Cocktail Party
Mixed media: Compiled on Photoshop

A new version of the cocktail party.  The character sizing has been increased, and a few have slightly altered positions.  I have also added some text that may still change ( haven't entirely made my mind up yet)

Cocktail Party

The Cocktail Party:
Mixed media piece. Compiled on photoshop

This is some work in progress based around the cocktail party brief. It incorporates all 7 of my summer project characters as well as a self portrait.
The piece will eventually include text on the upper area of my image saying either 'How to... Host a Cocktail Party' or 'How Not to... Host a Cocktail Party' Not quite decided which yet.

I decided to take inspiration from old fashioned parties, which influenced the torn, faded and collaged background to the piece.  The Ballerina character has been adapted and re-drawn in order to help fit in with the composition a bit more.

Some objects such as glasses, chairs, chandeliers etc may also appear on the background but still require a trial run.
